Jane Dunn
I make mixed media art work using paint, sculpture, installation, text and textiles. My art practice has grown out of my own personal history, women's role in society and a deep connection to the energies of the natural world.
Since graduating in Fine Art in the UK in 1995, I was selected for artist residencies making textile land sculptures in felt, stone and wood and was given a major award from The Pollock/Krasner Foundation, New York in 1998. In 2001, I moved to Ireland and spent several years renovating an old Irish cottage into a home and studio. My work has been shown in numerous exhibitions, solo and group in the UK, USA, and Ireland. I continue to take time out in artist residencies to further my explorations.
